For Our Future

MEDIA SCHOLARSHIPS

The National Entertainment Awards Academy for Military & Veterans  is committed to supporting the next generation of military and veteran storytellers through its scholarship initiatives. These programs provide financial assistance to active duty service members, veterans, and their families pursuing education or training in film, media, and the arts.

Scholarships may be awarded for academic study, specialized training, or participation in MVA programs such as the MV Short Films series, workshops, and industry seminars. Recipients not only receive funding but also gain access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and real-world experience—helping them build both the skills and the confidence to succeed in creative industries.

Big Congratulations to Alysha Haran!

We’re beyond thrilled to honor Alysha Haran, the Overall Winner at the MV Awards Gala on May 24 for her haunting and beautifully told short film Stone Garden—and swipe-worthy vibes? That includes you both celebrating together with the giant check proudly showcasing her $5,000 MV Awards Scholarship Prize!

Beyond her award-winning storytelling, Alysha served with dedication in the United States Navy—a remarkable 17 years that took her across the globe, from the NSA to Bahrain, including many years afloat as a Surface Warfare Officer. Her journey in uniform and behind the camera has only deepened her voice as an artist and storyteller.

Here’s to celebrating service, creativity, and the power of storytelling—Alysha, your vision continues to inspire, and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
